The Baltimore Chronicle and Sentinel published a commentary on December 22, 2007 by Dave Lindorff. The gist of this commentary was that global warming is set to flood southern conservative leaning states, cause draught in farm country (those conservative hicks), and wipe out San Diego and the "rich" retirement communities in the Southwest and therefore give the liberals control of all the remaining viable territory in the United States - all this to happen in just a few presidential cycles (or in the life of his two cats as the author states). I say fine, let me know when the last cat has died and until then "SHUTUP"!!! Then lets see if we hear you apologize for lying to the American people about global warming. Sixteen years ago the world was going to be destroyed in ten years if we didn't do something. Nobody budged, so they upped it to the next 100 years so that none of us would be around to tell them that they were wrong. These same scientists told us that coffee is bad for us, no coffee is good for us, hold on! it is bad for us again. Butter is bad, margerine is good- no wait transfats are bad for you. I don't know about you, but their declarations about what is good and bad for you are about as reliable as Hillary Clinton on the battle in Iraq. I mean, the weather man can't even realiably tell us what the weather will be like next weekend, but we're supposed to believe them when they say that global warming will destroy the earth in 30 years?? Why is it that no matter what the temperature is outside, if it isn't a perfect day, it is a sign of global warming? I trust these scientists about as much as I would trust Bill Clinton with my 19 year old daughter. Why is it that liberals always adopt ideas that allow the government to take more and more control of our lives? Now they are telling us what kind of light bulbs we can use in our own homes. I never thought I would see the day in America that we would allow that to happen. It is time for an electoral revolt. We have got to get these Marxist control freaks out of the government, out of the media, out of the scientific community and out of the business of making movies.
